What is a HydraFacial?

HydraFacials are considered hydradermabrasion, or “wet dermabrasion.” It is an alternative to dermabrasion, a form of exfoliation that traditionally uses synthetic crystals. Instead of using the abrasive nature of crystals to clear out pores, hydradermabrasion utilises suction and gentle cleansing to improve the overall skin appearance. HydraFacials use a handpiece that steams the skin and suctions our debris to unclog pores, exfoliate, and hydrate the skin. ⁽²⁾ This process is typically combined with serums that contain ingredients such as vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, and other components to replenish nutrients in the skin after the thorough cleansing.

How Does Hydradermabrasion Work?

Hydradermabrasion uses a combination of oxygen and water-based solutions at supersonic speeds to dislodge debris and dead skin cells from the skin. HydraFacial’s tiny jets open the micro-canals in the outermost layers of skin, which are then rehydrated and revitalised using medical-grade serums.
