Brow Lift
Conveniently located to serve the areas of London and Manchester
As the natural onset of ageing progresses, the skin loses elasticity, firmness and support. This can cause the brow to droop, causing a “hood” like effect, making us look tired and older than our years. This is due to the depletion of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid in the skin.
Environmental and lifestyle factors such as smoking, sun-damage, excessive and rapid weight loss, perhaps through illness and over exercise (such as running) can contribute to loss of elasticity and drooping, sagging skin.
Dr Frati offers brow lift surgery to combat the onset of time and give us a fresher, youthful, brighter and more rejuvenated appearance.
Brow lift surgery can help those that suffer from deep furrows between the eyes, etched lines across the forehead and sagging brows, giving the eyes that tired a droopy look and sometimes also affecting the vision.

How do I know if brow lift surgery is for me?
As with all cosmetic procedures, Dr Frati will need to conduct a comprehensive consultation and examination prior to surgery. He will discuss with you, your concerns, medical history and expected results so that you can make an informed decision on whether to proceed. He will also be able to ascertain whether you are fit and healthy for surgery.
How is the procedure performed?
Brow lift surgery can be performed in several ways, and Dr Frati will discuss the best option for you. With a coronal brow lift, excess skin is removed through a cut across the top of your scalp, hidden within your hair. The muscles that cause frown lines are shortened and your eyebrows are lifted. Alternatively, keyhole surgery can be performed using special surgical instruments inserted through tiny cuts in your hairline. The muscles that cause frown lines can be reduced and there is minimal scarring. Each method can be performed under general or local anaesthetic and this will be discussed with Dr Frati in consultation.
What do I need to know about downtime/recovery?
You’ll usually be able to return home later the same day, and will need to plan some time off work to rest and recover. Dr Frati will advise on timescales depending on the method pf procedure and his expected recovery times for your individual case. A brow lift can give good long-term results, but you will need to take care of your skin, including protecting it from sunlight. Using doctor-advised cosmeceuticals and a broad spectrum SPF will also give your skin a healthy glow and protect it from further, pre-mature ageing.
When will I see results?
As brow lift surgery is an invasive procedure, you will see results immediately as the skin is tightened. You will experience some bruising and swelling and this could take a few weeks to settle down. Brow lift is a simple, straight-forward and effective procedure proven to have instant and long lasting results. Most patients requesting an assessment for a potential brow or forehead lift tend to do so in their search for effective ways to refresh and rejuvenate their appearance and in making the decision to undergo this treatment, Dr Frati can turn back the hands of time and bring you a renewed confidence and lease of life.
